Lekki Conservation Centre: A Virtual Tour Guide

Lekki Conservation Centre: A Virtual Tour Guide

If you’re thinking of taking a break from the everyday hustle-bustle, Lekki Conservation Centre is the place to go. It is located along Lekki Conservation Centre Rd, Lekki Phase II, in Lekki, Lagos.

The centre offers a multitude of adventures, one of which is exploring the canopy walkway. This particular canopy walkway holds the distinction of being the longest in Africa, measuring an impressive 401 meters in length.

While climbing, if you are scared of heights, avoid looking down and ensure that you keep your belongings properly. With a token of N3000 — N1500 for the entry fee and N1500 for the canopy walk, you will be offered the opportunity to take the canopy walk.

The Upsides

Lekki Conservation Centre is  great for organizing picnics with family and friends. The centre also offers other fun activities such as chess game and a variety of board games. Sitting by the koi pond provides a beautiful sight of the koi fishes.

After taking the canopy walkway, you can head to the family park to relax and freshen up in the eight mini huts. Around the family park is a spot where you can get coconut or pineapple drinks to freshen up. Shawarma and Suya are also available for refreshments at the family park.

The customer service at the Lekki Conservation Centre is exceptional, with tourists being well attended to and cordially respected. Upon entering the centre, you will be guided by a tour guide who will provide you with detailed insight into the entire conservation centre.

The Downsides

The tracks of the canopy walk are getting worn out and are slightly breaking out already. The management needs to fix it before any accident occurs.

Also, the water by the canopy walk is so dirty and displeasing to the eyes, It’s important to maintain cleanliness in natural environments. We hope they take steps to improve the water quality for a better visitation experience.

We rate the conservation centre over 10:

Ambiance: 7/10

Security: 7/10

Customer service: 8/10

Canopy walk: 9/10

Nature trails: 6/10

Do we recommend visitation: Absolutely!
