Johnson Jakande Tinubu Park: Worth a Visit?

Johnson Jakande Tinubu Park: Worth a Visit?

The Johnson Jakande Tinubu Park is a public park located at Governors Road, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos State. It was commissioned by the former governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode in 2017. It is an ideal place to unwind, stroll around, and enjoy a picnic.

The Upsides

The park is a tourist attraction because there are lots of spots to take nice pictures and make videos. You can take a picture at the Tinubu/Johnson statue, in front of the statue that represents Lagos state, and even by the water fountain. You can also host business meetings in their huts, enjoy picnics with family and friends, and much more.

The park has a free entry policy and offers free Wi-Fi, making it even more convenient and enjoyable
for visitors. You can relax, connect with friends, and share your park experience online without any additional costs.

The Downsides

Although the park has a free entrance policy and also offers free Wi-Fi that works perfectly, it’s ironic that they then demand N20,000 just to take pictures or videos.

However, we were able to negotiate with the staff and reach a more reasonable agreement by paying 2,500 naira to be allowed to take pictures and make videos.

The customer service at the park wasn’t up to par. It can be really disappointing when you encounter bad customer service, especially when you’re excited to enjoy your time at a place.

Ratings:

Ambiance: 7/10

Picnic spot: 8/10

Customer Service: 2/10

Security: 5/10

In conclusion, we recommend visiting the park if you’re in Lagos or passing by. While you are here, head over to the listing section to add locations across the country and drop your honest review about them. Cheers!
