Ofada Heaven ‘n’ Sankofa; A 2 in1 restaurant
If you stand in front of the mirror, close your eyes and scream “objective review” three times, by the time you open your eyes, “Reviewit logo” will appear.
Well, you would only know if you try it, but for now, keep your eyes open and read on our experience at Ofada Heaven, Sankofa, located at 62, Adeniran Ogunsanya Surulere,Lagos.
Immediately we alighted from the Uber, we raised our head and we already imagined how small the place would be. The restaurant is located at the last floor of the building(people who have leg pain would find it hard to get to the last floor).
We got into the restaurant and yes, it wasn’t as big as it was portrayed on Instagram, it was an average size- to contain about 25 persons inside.
The staff are great, and they directed us to where to sit- the restaurant also has an outside lounge, where you can sit and that place should contain 20 persons comfortably.
We were about to order when we heard some other persons complaining that catfish pepper soup (8,000naira) is not spicy and the fish still has a stain of blood. They also complained of how the Ofada Rice was not up to par.
We had to settle for Fries and wings and also chicken train. The fries cost 10,500naira while the chicken train cost 4,500naira.
It took about 25 minutes before they arrived with the food, but we were given the snake and ladder board game to keep ourselves busy.
The fries was great and the chicken train wasn’t bad either, but the chicken that came with the fries was not tasteful and it was not great.
On another hand, their menu has not been updated, when the staff took our order for the fries and wing, we were told it was 8,500naira, only for the staff to come back and tell us it is 10,500naira.
Ambience:
The restaurant was beautiful decorated and we give it a 6.5/10 for a restaurant on the mainland.
