Sencillo
They said “simple,” but they clearly meant “soft life with a view.”
That’s Sencillo for you, a luxury beach house tucked on Ilashe Island, just a 30-minute boat ride from Victoria Island. Think of it as the Lagos version of a Spanish daydream: white walls, swaying palms, the Atlantic’s cool breeze, and absolutely zero traffic noise.
Once you arrive, the first thing you’ll notice (apart from your jaw dropping) is how peaceful the space feels. The all-white minimalist design gives you the perfect “I’m rich but calm” aesthetic, while the ocean view does what therapy often can’t, instant peace.
Sencillo has only three ensuite bedrooms, but each one looks like something straight out of an Airbnb fantasy. From the beds, you can literally watch the Atlantic flirt with the shoreline, no filter needed. And if you ever get bored (which is unlikely), there’s a private lounge, a jacuzzi, and a 30-meter swimming pool waiting to remind you that life can, in fact, be soft.
Also, there’s a ping pong table and a pool table for when you want to settle who’s the “big man on island.” However, if you prefer something slower, you can take your drink to the jacuzzi or just lounge by the pool with background music from Sencillo’s three-zone speaker system. Yes, you can play three different songs at the same time in three different areas.
The kitchen is fully equipped for those who like to flex their cooking skills (or who travel with that one friend who insists they can cook jollof better than everyone else). There’s also a BBQ grill for outdoor feasts and a concierge team available 24/7 to make sure you never have to lift a finger, except maybe to take more pictures for the ‘gram.
And did we mention the dancing pole? Yes. A dancing pole. Because Sencillo doesn’t believe in boring moments.
Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a birthday celebration, a brand activation, or a “girls just want to soft life” weekend, this beach house was literally designed with you in mind. Every corner screams soft life, from the private boat rides to the Mediterranean-inspired decor that makes you forget you’re still in Lagos.
So, if you ever need a break from “I can’t come and kill myself” energy, book a trip to Sencillo. You’ll come back with sand in your hair, sun on your skin, and a renewed love for your own reflection.
