Our Experience at Cilantro Lagos
Ambiance and Setting
Cilantro Lagos located at 7 Musa Yar’Adua Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. It is a fancy fine dining restaurant located in Victoria Island area of Lagos, Nigeria. The inside looks expensive with dim lighting, dark wood furniture and crisp white tablecloths. The space is intimate and divided into small sections for privacy. Waiters dress professionally and provide attentive yet unintrusive service. Overall, Cilantro Lagos has an upscale and inviting ambiance.
Food and Cuisine
The food at Cilantro Lagos cleverly fuses African, Latin American and Mediterranean cuisines and flavors. Dishes are freshly made with unique ingredient combinations. Some restaurant highlights include:
– Appetizers: Grilled plantain with a spicy red pepper sauce puts a modem twist on a classic African staple.
– Mains: Prawns simmered in a coconut curry broth packed with lemongrass and lime leaf flavors. Also try the tasty char-grilled butterfish with sweet red pepper and onion salsa.
– Portion sizes are small but suitable since you get multiple courses.
Drink Menu
Cilantro Lagos offers an extensive drink menu, especially wines. The wine list features a good selection of new and old world wines from different regions, providing options to pair with the globally inspired food.
Downside Review:
The prices are too high, when taking into account they serve small portions and high prices, the value proposition is not strong enough at Cilantro Lagos. We expected better quality and service for the prices listed on the menu.
