La Campagne Tropicana: Because Asake Said So

When Asake yelled “I say La Campagne Tropicana” that was your cue to go check it out. But if Asake couldn’t get you to go, then hop on this ride, let me take you on a virtual tour of this stunning beach resort.

Chilling in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria, La Campagne Tropicana combines three stunning natural settings: a forest, river and beach resort. It’s like they couldn’t pick one aesthetic, so they decided to go all out and offer three – and I absolutely love that extra touch of drama.

At this African themed forest, river and beach resort, they’ve got chalets that are both fancy and traditional. Think of it as your grandmother’s house but with Wi-Fi and a swimming pool. Some rooms even have private pools.

Let’s talk about money.

The entry fee to La Campagne Tropicana is ₦7,000 per adult, with kids between 5-12 years old paying a discounted rate of ₦2,500, while children aged 0-4 years enter for free. If you’d like to bring your own snacks, be prepared to pay an additional ₦2,200 corkage fee per adult. Daycation hours are between 8am to 6pm daily. You can also treat yourself to the buffet for ₦10,000 and dine like royalty.

With your entry ticket, you’ll get access to a range of land activities, including swimming pool, volleyball, beach soccer to live out your World Cup dreams, table tennis, African put put, lawn tennis, horse riding and more. If you want even more adventure, you can opt for the water sport activities like kayaking, jet skiing, fishing, sea tubing, boat cruise, canoeing, sea scooter and floating.

The food situation is impressive, they offer a blend of African dishes with a continental twist, as well as international cuisine. To quench your thirst, fresh palm wine and coconut water are available. And for a touch of luxury, and a little extra pampering, you’ll even have access to personal butlers referred to as “omonile.”

Please note that there are certain rules to follow. For instance, random photography is prohibited unless you’re using your phone. If you’d like to bring your own snacks, be prepared to pay a ₦2,200 “corkage fee”. Pets are also not allowed. Lastly, night parties are not permitted. Sorry but no sorry.

You’d agree with me that La Campagne Tropicana is doing the MOST. It’s like they took everything fun about a beach resort, added some African spice, threw in some luxury, and said “make it make sense.” And somehow… it does. You should check out our review of the beach resort on our socials.
