Chocos Bistro: An Ambitious Attempt at Culinary Excellence in Ikeja

Chocos Bistro: An Ambitious Attempt at Culinary Excellence in Ikeja

Everybody, come outside! 📢

Ikeja has a new resident, and its name is  The Chocos Bistro. Reviewit, Nigeria’s dedicated reviewer, recently visited this newly opened restaurant to bring you the lowdown.

From ambiance to appetizers, we’ll dissect the experience, leaving you with all the information you need to decide if “The Chocos Bistro” deserves a spot on your next dining adventure.

Chocos Bistro is a restaurant that offers a dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you’ll be greeted by an inviting atmosphere.

The restaurant is tastefully decorated, with nice seating arrangements and soft lighting that create a relaxed ambiance.

The Upsides
The Chocos Bistro has two lounges, the first is the main lounge which is inside the establishment, and the side lounge which is closely beside it.

Now, let’s talk about the food! Chocos Bistro caters to a range of tastes and preferences. From Thai Pad Fried Rice with Goat meat to Mini Sliders and Chicken wraps, to Choco’s Grilled Lamb Chop and even Buffalo Wings.

The food at Chocos Bistro is reasonably priced such that an average Nigerian can enjoy a fine dining experience without breaking the bank. It’s always a win-win when you can satisfy your taste buds and save some money at the same time.

Upon arrival, you’re asked to scan their code so you can have access to the menu and more. Below is what the menu looks like.

One of the highlights of dining at Chocos Bistro is their commitment to using fresh ingredients. The service at the restaurant is fast, for instance, The Thai Pad Fried Rice took only twelves minutes after we had ordered, although the cultleries came two minutes after we reminded the staff.

Furthermore, The staffs are friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist you with any requests or recommendations. Whether you’re dining alone, with friends, or hosting a special event.

In addition to their food and service, Chocos Bistro also offers a  outdoor seating area and a pool. This is the perfect spot to enjoy your meal while taking in the vibrant atmosphere of Ikeja.

The Downsides

If you are not going to the restaurant with a ride, it is going to be hard to find, because the restaurant does not have a signature or banner outside for quick identification.

In addition, before going to the restaurant, we have searched for what a Thai Pad Fried Rice looks like, but what we were served at the restaurant is just what a Nigeria Fried Rice typically looks like, although it tates great, but with the name, we believe, it should come with more expectation. The Thai Pad Fried Rice was not giving what it was suppose to give.

Finally, The Chocos Bistro is so small that it can barely contain 20 people, both the main lounge and even the side lounge. If  you’re someone who likes to be your given your own space, then Chocos Bistro is not the place for you because e choke, for real!
