Golf R suspension just doesn't feel the same after 100k of Dubai roads, anyone actually fixed the DCC shocks without going broke?

I've had my 2017 Golf R since new and it's been an absolute weapon for the daily commute and the occasional blast up Jebel Jais but lately the adaptive dampers just feel off like the Comfort mode is crashy and Race mode is just uncomfortable without being any sharper and I've started to notice a slight knocking from the front left when I turn into my building's ramp in the Marina, I took it to a specialist who scanned it and said the DCC shocks aren't throwing any codes but they're definitely worn and the dealer wants something like seven thousand dirhams per corner which is just not happening for a car that's worth maybe a third of that now, I've been down the rabbit hole on the VW forums and it seems like some people delete the DCC and go with passive coilovers and a cancellation kit while others swear by finding a place that can source OEM replacement dampers for a fraction of the dealer cost and then calibrate the system properly, I was reading through a local thread about European suspension work and someone had left a comment to say For More Information Visit This Website which linked out to a shop that actually lists the DCC recalibration process on their Volkswagen page and that's the kind of detail that gives me a little hope because I really don't want to lose the adjustable suspension feature, anyone with a Golf R or a GTI with DCC actually gone through this in Dubai and come out the other side with a car that rides like it should without feeling like they had to sell a kidney to make it happen?
