We Visited Downtown Grills, Here is What We Have to Say

Downtown Grills, located at 28, Balogun Street off Akinremi Anifowoshe in Ikeja, Lagos, is a small fast food restaurant serving varieties of Nigerian dishes.
The restaurant is easy to miss, as it is located in an older building and does not have any signage outside. However, once you find it, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the affordable prices and tasty food.
Interior
The interior of Downtown Grills is small and unassuming. The décor is old-fashioned and we would say the place is clean and well-maintained if we didn’t encounter some flies and a wall gecko that gave us the scare of our lives. You should also know that there is limited seating space, so be prepared to wait for a table during peak hours.

Service
The service at Downtown Grills is friendly and efficient. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and can make recommendations if you’re not sure what to order. However, it’s worth noting that you need to order your food at the counter; the staff will not come to take your order and service time ranges from 45 minutes upward, depending on the dish/s you order.
Food
The food at Downtown Grills is affordable and tasty. The menu features a variety of Nigerian fast foods, including chicken laps, potato chips, yam fries, and plantain, etc. The portions are generous, and the food is well-cooked.

Takeaway
Downtown Grills offers free takeaway, which is a nice bonus. The food is packaged well and travels well.
Overall…
Downtown Grills is a good option for affordable Nigerian fast food. The food is tasty, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. However, the atmosphere is not the best, and the place could use a bit of updating.
