Before You Go To Sol Oniru Beach, Read This!
Box Beach, also known as Sol Beach, is a popular beach located at 10b Trinity Avenue Oniru, Victoria Island Lagos.
It is known for being the largest container park in Africa. The beach offers a beautiful and clean environment with amenities such as a swimming pool, restaurants, and stores for shopping. Visitors can expect proper customer service, including friendly attendants for children at the pool.
The Upsides
At Sol Beach, the entry fee varies from N5000 for adults, N3000 for individuals aged 7-17, and free entry for children aged 6 years and below. It’s important to note that the entry fee only grants entrance to the beach.
If visitors wish to access seats or other facilities, they will need to pay additional charges, as there are no complimentary services at Sol Beach. The beach operates from 9:00 am to 12:00 am every day.
The beach is home about 6 restaurants, including Okada Cafe, Danfo Bistro, Loompaland, Samudra, and Rapa Nui Polynesian Cuisine. Among these options, Rapa Nui Polynesian Cuisine stands out for its aesthetic appeal, featuring see-through windows and a budget-friendly menu. The restaurant’s chicken dish is particularly noteworthy for its delicious and satisfying taste. Additionally, the restaurants are aesthetically pleasing and boast of roof tops that provide views of the beach. The location also offers numerous picturesque spots, making it an ideal setting for content creation.
The Downsides
Firstly, the only thing you’re not paying for at SOL is the air you breathe, on top of that, every service there is pretty pricey.
Also, the restaurants demand that you make a purchase before taking pictures, weird policy, don’t you think?
Additionally, there are no free seats for visitors after paying a gate fee of N5000. We find that this is pretty inconvenient, especially if visitors want to soak in the beautiful scenery away from the torment of the hot Lagos sun.
