Lekki’s Latest: Is Foodies Worth the Hype (and Price Tag)?

Lekki’s Latest: Is Foodies Worth the Hype (and Price Tag)?

Abeg, who’s down for a food adventure on the island?

Foodies_hotandspicy, with its “eye go chop money oh” prices and picture-perfect plates, is calling our names.

But before we spend our last kobo, let’s see if the taste matches the talk. Na real deal or empty calories? Grab your fork and join the investigation!

The Upsides

Located at 32a Admiralty Way, Lekki phase 1, Lekki, Lagos,  Foodies is not playing when it comes to ambiance.

Imagine a place where Mama Nkechi’s “local and lit” vibes meet Beyoncé’s dressing room. That’s the energy we’re talking about. Sleek wooden tables smoother than Odogwu’s pick-up lines, chairs so comfy you might forget to go home, and lighting so flattering, even your akamu will look like fine dining.

The space is big enough to host your entire family reunion (including those auntyies that always ask, “When you getting married?”), but somehow it still feels intimate—like a cool breeze on a hot Lagos afternoon.

And the walls? Shey you know those walls that speak without saying a word? Well, Foodies’ walls got stories to tell. Warm colours dance with contemporary art, making you feel like you stepped into a fashion show at an art gallery. It’s art, it’s culture, it’s a whole mood.

But hold up, fam. This is just the setting. The real test comes with the food, the service, and the overall experience. So grab your spoon and follow me as we dig deeper into Foodies—and find out if it’s truly worth the hype, or just another illusion of Lekki success.

Foodies isn’t your typical cramped counter joint. There, you’ll find a bright, spacious setting with fast-food convenience but restaurant-quality presentation.

The restaurant is divided into two floors, the first floor is dedicated to oyinbo oyinbo dishes (continental dishes), pastries (puff puff senior), freshly made juices, and fruits.

The second floor, on the other hand, is dedicated to Nigerian dishes (Sabi ooo🎶) . This floor showcases the rich and diverse culinary heritage of Nigeria.

The customer  service at Foodies is exceptional, as evidenced by the attentive and friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu. They provide detailed information about each food item and maintain a positive attitude throughout their interactions with customers. The asun rice and peppered turkey were particularly enjoyable, with the correct level of spiciness (Nigerina standard🔥🌶️). The staff made sure to check in with customers to ensure their satisfaction with the food.

The Downsides

The prices at Foodies no gree for anybody ooo, ahhh! Reviewit bought two portions of Asun rice for 8,000 naira. The portion was giving “where is the main dish?” because e small, no be small!

We think Nigerian are already going through a lot, they deserved healthy portion size that matches the bank debit alert that visits their phones at Foodies.

Also, If God don bless you pass yellow bus for Lagos, think twice before you visit Foodies because the restaurant lacks sufficient parking space.

If your coconut head is nudging you to disobey Reviewit, just hold head support (oshuka) so that you will use it to carry your car on your head at Foodie because Reviewit doesn’t lie, ask the three statue of Lagos, they will testify for us!

Since you’re here with us, let’s rate Foodie together, you feel us?
